Endodontics

Endodontics is a specialized branch of dentistry dedicated to the study, prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of diseases and conditions affecting the dental pulp and surrounding periapical tissues. The dental pulp, composed of nerves, blood vessels, and connective tissue, plays a vital role in maintaining tooth vitality.

The most common and widely recognized procedure in endodontics is root canal therapy, which involves removing infected or damaged pulp to preserve and restore the natural tooth.
