Dr. Osman Adiguzel's academic journey commenced with his graduation from the Department of Physics at Ankara University, Turkey, in 1974. He went on to complete his Ph.D. at Dicle University, Diyarbakir, Turkey. In 1986-1987, he extended his studies as a postdoctoral research scientist at Surrey University in Guildford, UK, with a particular focus on shape memory alloys. His professional path began as a research assistant at Dicle University from 1975 to 1980, after which he transitioned to Firat University in 1980. His dedication and expertise culminated in his appointment as a professor in 1996. Dr. Adiguzel recently retired due to reaching the age limit of 67, concluding an illustrious 45-year academic career.
Throughout his career, he made significant contributions to the field, authoring more than 80 papers published in international and national journals. Additionally, he actively participated in over 120 conferences and symposia, assuming various roles such as Plenary Speaker, Keynote Speaker, Invited Speaker, Speaker, and Poster Presenter. He also took on responsibilities as program chair or conference chair/co-chair in some of these events. Notably, from 2014 to 2019, Dr. Adiguzel was engaged in over 60 conferences as a Speaker, Keynote Speaker, and Conference Co-Chair, organized by various companies in different countries.
